Founder: Christian Humphreys, Esq.

Chris Humphreys has spent more than 25 years at one of the Country’s preeminent law firms, where he represented businesses and business owners in complex, high stakes litigation. He takes a problem-solving approach and has successfully met client objectives by resolving matters through pretrial motion practice or advantageous settlements. Some disputes, however, cannot be resolved without trial and require experienced trial counsel. Chris has successfully tried several jury cases to verdict in addition to numerous bench trials and arbitrations.

Chris represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of business disputes including breach of contract, fraud, partnership and shareholder disputes, interference with contract or economic advantage, negligence, misappropriation of trade secrets, and unfair competition. Chris is particularly adept at handling these types of cases because he spent several years as a Certified Public Accountant and understands the complex damages and accounting issues that inevitably arise. This experience allows him better develop and present your case, as well cross-examine in deposition or at trial the opponent’s financial and accounting expert witnesses.

Chris also represents Government Contractors in a variety of matters including the drafting of subcontracts, teaming agreements, and nondisclosure agreements, as well as helping them navigate civil disputes and respond to governmental inquiries, investigations, subpoenas, and charges.

Giving back to the Community is also important. Chris has handled several pro bono cases and has received the Wiley W. Manuel Award in recognition of his commitment to providing voluntary legal help to the underprivileged. In addition, Chris served for six years on the Board of Directors for the San Diego County Bar Foundation and six years on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program. He is currently a member of the San Diego Military Advisory Committee, where he served as Chairperson of the Board in 2020 and is currently the Chair of the Governance Committee.
